What is a Solar Water Heater?
Solar water heaters (SWH) convert sunlight into heat for water using a solar thermal collector. Available in various configurations to suit different climates, they are used in both residential and industrial settings. A sun-facing collector heats a fluid that then warms a storage tank. Eimex solar water heater uses advanced technology to efficiently absorb and transfer solar heat, with insulation that maintains temperature overnight. Solar water heaters are widely used globally, including in countries like China and Turkey.
Eimex Solar Electric Hybrid Water Heater
Eimex Solar digitally controlled solar water heater is the most efficient water heater available in the market today. Utilizing solar (primary) and electric power (as back up) to heat your water. Water is heated throughout the year through the sun and the system automatically shifts to electric power in case of cloudy and/or low sun radiation days. Eimex Solar water heater tank is insulated by a thick 60mm layer of polyurethane which helps it to hold temperature over night with minimum temperature loss. Our Smart Digital controller has two major functions that improve the system’s efficiency;
1) It governs the electric heating element and manages the temperature within the tank on its own.
2) It manages water inlet and fills cold water intelligently so that the overall temperature in the water tank does not drop.

Solar Water Heater tank is made of an inner tank made of SS304 food Grade 0.4mm thick stainless steel sheet and outer tank made of 0.4mm SS201 stainless steel sheet with 60MM of German Polyurethane Insulation In between that is capable of keeping the water hot over night.

EIMEX VACCUM TUBE
A Vacuum tube is the actual part the solar water heater / solar geyser responsible for heating the water. It absorbs solar energy and converts it to usable heat. A vacuum between the two glass layers insulates against heat loss. On the inner layer of the solar vacuum / evacuated tube a three layer coating is used to ensure the most effective heat absorption. This includes a al-n/ai (aluminium nitrate) layer a second aluminium layer as well as a third copper layer. The added layers conduct heat better and also stabilise the coating allowing for a much longer lifespan of the vacuum tubes, A solar vacuum tube can easily last for 20 plus years.

SOLAR GEYSER – DIGITAL CONTROLLER
The controller as the name suggests controls the solar water heater / solar geyser. It’s basic function is to control cold water filling and govern the back up electric heating aspect besides displaying the water temperature and water level on its LED screen.
On its interface you can easily set the desired temperature to manage electric heating, set the desired level & temperature in the tank before it can all cold water to fill. The controller operates in three modes;
MANUAL – Water filling & electric heating can be managed manually by the press of buttons on the screen
TIMING – Three different time settings can be made to fill water and turn on electric heating if the temperature in the system is below the desired level
INTELLIGENT – Intelligently manages the solar water heater on its own.

BACK UP HEATING ELEMENT
Our units are hybrid and they come with a fitted 1500/2000 watt electric element which runs as per your requirement and is easily operated through the controller.
This 1500/2000 watt Nickel Alloy element raises the temperature at the speed of 10 °C per hour by only consuming 1.5 units of electricity.

MAGNESIUM ROD
Of the many parts and components used in modern water heaters, the anode rod might just be one of the most important. Without this piece, the internals of water heaters would wear down a lot more quickly.
Water heaters are susceptible to rust and corrosion because of the materials used to construct them and how these materials react to water. Water is naturally acidic, and the steel used to make the tanks undergoes the rusting and corroding process when it comes in contact with oxygen or moisture. The anode rod is a piece designed to slow down corrosion and rusting in water heaters. The rod is made of magnesium, which wears out faster than steel. When water corrodes the magnesium, the anode rod releases electrons into the tank which form a protective barrier around the steel of the tank.
The service life of an anode rod can vary depending on the temperature of the water in the tank, how much water is used, the quality of the water heater, and the composition (hardness vs. softness) of the water. Keeping up with your regular water heater maintenance will help extend the life of the rod as well as the whole system.
